About my blogging from A to Z in 2014
This year, I'm taking the plunge and writing about...well...I'm writing about writing. First let me say that I am unpublished author. I got that out of the way so that any readers with whom I lose credibility due to my unpublished status, won't have to waste their time.
I never wrote a piece of fiction until 2005. It was like a plague gripping me, and I haven't stopped since. But some things have happened along the way that might help others, and might humor others to whom my experiences are passe, and as such, old news.
I'm going to share thoughts about writing, about publishing, about the online writing community (don't be afraid--I'd never name names in a negative context) but I will regale readers with a few tales from the dark side of writing, publishing, and promotion while removing identifiable information.
I'll also include names of awesome supporters of the writing community, and the names and links of exceedingly helpful sites. These all have been filtered through (of course) me. That means that the list of people who are wonderful supporters of fellow writers is always MUCH larger than the list of people I've discovered to be such, writers who have touched my heart...
I'm going to post some don'ts. These are things I've come across that made me realize how some people give themselves a black eye in the publishing world.
And, there are so many things I still don;t know, I might throw a few questions out there, and invite readers to share their opinions. :-)
And, as always, I'll probably mix in a few eclectic posts...just because. :-)
Ooh, curious to see what you think of my Kindle Direct Publishing post: http://passthesourcream.com/a-is-for-amazon/ with your angle on the publishing world.

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Atul. I wish the same for you!
DeleteIt will be very educational to read what you will be saying. We can all learn so much. Also I like that you don't name names.

Thanks, Munir. No need to name names. :-) Predators and Editors does a great job of that. :-)
